Is there a void in your life which you have tried to fill but for some reason still feels empty? God has placed a void in each person that only He can fill. Have you been fighting Him for a long time? He longs for you to be one of His. Will you accept Him as your Father, and Jesus as Lord and Savior of your life. If so then I have provided information below that will help you walk through the process.
- Accept there is nothing you can do to deserve being in His family. *Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith – and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God – not by works, so that no one can boast.”
- Admit that you are a sinner and need a Savior. *Romans 3:23 states, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” * I John 1:8 says, “If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” But the good news is found in verse 9, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
- Trust that Jesus being fully God and man, is the only one who could pay that price for you. He did that by taking the punishment we so deserve by dying on the cross. Christ then rose from the dead so you can live with Him and the Father one day and not be eternally separated from them. *John 1:1, 14 states, “In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only who came from the Father, full of Grace and truth. John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”
- Then out of gratitude turn away from your old life. Obey and serve Him from a thankful heart.
Welcome to God’s Family
It is essential that you start growing in your new family. There are several ways to do this:
- Meet with your Father everyday to…
- Read the Bible – The Gospel of John is a good place to start
- Pray – which is how we communicate with our Heavenly Father.
- Fellowship by attending a Bible believing church.
- Tell someone what you have done.
If you have done this I would love for you to leave a reply so that I can rejoice with you! If not, I understand perfectly. I rejoice with you anyway.
*All scripture is taken from the New International Version 1984.
